Folkington Manor (pronounced Fo’ington) is a beautiful, privately-owned grade II* listed English country home nestled in the heart of the South Downs National Park between Lewes and Eastbourne.
Reserved for a limited number of events per year, and with a very romantic history, Folkington Manor offers an exclusive and elegant setting for your special day. By only allowing one wedding per weekend you are given time and privacy to create your perfect wedding day.
As a dry hire venue you are given the freedom to realise your dream wedding and bring to life a truly bespoke day. Should you require some assistance with planning, on the day management, or styling, then we can recommend additional services for you.

Ceremonies
You have the option for either a civil ceremony in our Flint Halls, outside in our grounds, or an Anglican wedding at St Peters ad Vincula in Folkington. Your wedding day can unfurl all in one beautiful location.
CIVIL CEREMONIES GALLERY
The Flint Halls
Our stunning, wood panelled Flint Halls are licensed to hold civil ceremonies. Bathed in natural light, seating can be arranged for small, intimate ceremonies or larger numbers up to 140 guests.
ST PETER AD VINCULA GALLERY
St Peter ad Vincula Church
A few hundred yards from the West gate of Folkington Manor sits the picturesque St Peter ad Vincula church nestled in the heart of the hamlet. A quintessentially British church that can seat approx 120 guests.

OUTDOOR CEREMONY
Breathe in the beautiful Sussex countryside with a civil ceremony in our grounds. Whether you wish to have the house, the pond or the trees as your backdrop, there are many locations we can suggest.
THE GROUNDS
You’d be hard pushed to find a wedding venue, with such a stunning approach. The sweeping driveway of approximately 1km leads up to the breath taking manor house. With Folkington Manor as a backdrop, the front lawns and grounds are the perfect location for drinks and canapes after your ceremony. While you are whisked away for your wedding photographs, your guests can soak up the beautiful surroundings, nestled at the foot of the South Downs.
RECEPTION
Whatever your dream wedding may look like, Folkington Manor is the dream come true, with stunning Flint Halls or grounds which can accommodate a marquee of any size.
The Flint Halls
The Flint Halls can seat up to 90 guests for sit down meal with the flexibility to host up to 175 guests of an evening.
The natural brick walls and stunning vaulted, beam ceilings create a light and airy venue to host your wedding breakfast and reception.
MARQUEE RECEPTIONS
A marquee in the grounds is the perfect way to make the most of the beautiful countryside at your finger tips.
While we don’t provide the marquee ourselves, we work with some of the best marquee and tent companies in the South East, each offering something unique that will bring your special day to life. Our grounds can accommodate a marquee for up to 1000.

We give you the freedom to breathe creativity and personality into your special day giving you an exclusive venue for your ‘one-of-a-kind’ wedding. We just ask you to use one of our preferred caterers and marquees, the rest is in your hands. However here are some superb suppliers we know will help bring extra magic to your day.
