Is the venue licensed for weddings?

Our Flint Halls are fully registered for civil wedding ceremonies.

Can we get married outside?

Absolutely! We have many beautiful spots in the grounds for a ceremony. Whether it’s on the front lawns with the house as a back drop, in the beautiful rose gardens or amongst the trees.

Will there be another wedding on the same day?

No, you will have exclusive use of the venue all day and evening.

How many people does the venue seat?

The Flint Halls can seat up to 140 people for a ceremony and 90 guests for a reception on round tables. Numbers can be increased if seating guests in the adjoining room but there would be limited vision into the main hall.

If your numbers exceed this, our grounds can hold a marquee as large as you need it to.

Will we have access to decorate prior to the wedding?

The venue hire allows you access from 9am - 5pm the day before for decorating and set up and from 9am - midday the day after for taking decorations down and collecting belongings. Access for marquees will be given earlier to allow time needed for their set up.

Do you provide the marquee?

We don’t have one of our own but there is a choice of approved marquee companies on our website that offer a wide variety of styles of marquees who would be delighted to provide you with costs and ideas for your wedding day.

Is there parking?

Our riding school, adjacent to the Flint Halls offers plenty of space for parking. We do ask that guests do not leave vehicles overnight if possible.

Do you have accommodation on site?

We don’t offer over night accommodation at Folkington Manor but can recommend some wonderful places to stay.

What time do we have the venue until?

Before carriages turn to pumpkins, guests should depart by midnight. Any bars and music to end by 11pm.

Can we bring use our own caterers?

While Folkington Manor gives you the freedom to create your perfect wedding day, we do ask that you choose from one of our recommended caterers. There is a choice of approved caterers on the website and you may make your choice from them. They are all highly-recommended, experienced wedding caterers who we trust, and who will be delighted to assist you in all aspects of planning your wedding food. You are free to make contact with them directly, letting them know you have booked your wedding at Folkington Manor. We do not allow ‘own catering’ nor for couples to bring in caterers who are not on our approved list. However, should you have specific cuisine requirements that our caterers cannot offer we can certainly review the options for using an alternative caterer.

How do we book and what is the deposit?

To book your chosen date contact the events team. We require a deposit of £500 to hold the date for you. This deposit is fully refundable after the wedding providing there are no damages. One year before your wedding date the first instalment of 50% of the venue hire is due with the remaining balance due 6 weeks prior.
